Gain Insight To Your Personality With A Palm Reading

Poetry | Poetry

Palmistry reading originated in northern India thousands of years ago. It is part of a field of study known as “Samudrik Shastra,” which translates to “ocean of knowledge.” Unlike fortune telling, the original intent of palmistry was to assess a person’s personality and counsel them. The palm revealed a person’s natural tendencies, attitudes, fears, strengths and obstacles. Modern day palmistry often foreshadows events to come because that is what people are most interested in, but many clients are surprised by how accurate the personality assessments can be.

To start a palmistry reading, palm reading experts will normally ask for your most active or dominant hand. Sometimes they will assess both hands to see what you were born with/where you’ve been and what you’ve done with your life/where you’re going. There are three principal branches of palm reading, which are Chiromancy (the study of the palm’s lines), Chirognomy (the study of the hand / finger shape) and Dermatoglyphics (the study of the finger tip ridges).

Historians believe the history of palmistry pre-dates Christianity. Scientists and philosophers including Pliny, Anaxagoras, Aristotle, Cardamis, Emperor Augustus and Hispanus were all intrigued by astrology readings and reading palms. In the biblical Book of Job, it reads: “God placed signs or seals in the hands of men, that all men might know their works… and there is always the timeless knowledge that God and nature make nothing in vain.” Some people believe these lines indicate the legitimacy of looking at the hand’s lines to interpret the past, present and future. Through the years, Christians, Hindus, Greeks and Gypsies have all practiced palmistry.

The key to palmistry reading is to understand all of the different lines of the hand. There are love lines and heart lines, head lines and marriage lines, fate lines and simian lines. Lines like stars, tridents, islands, chains, circles, crosses and grilles can be viewed on palms to mean different things. You will also need to know the different mounts, like the Mount of the Moon, the Mount of Jupiter or the Mount of Saturn, and be able to determine whether they are fleshy and pronounced or underdeveloped. The shape of hands and their texture can also be very telling when it comes to a person’s inner nature.

Interest in the occult during the sixties and seventies may have brought palmistry reading to the forefront of the American imagination once again. Individuals visit palm readers or call in for phone readings so they can gain direction in life on areas like health, business, relationships and family. A palmist cannot predict casino winnings or impending disaster, but he or she can let you know what areas of your personality you should focus on and what areas you must overcome to succeed in life. Sometimes a person already knows what must be done but could use just a little bit of reassurance to pursue the right path.

But there are some individuals who swear by their readings and claim that they are incredibly accurate. Drop by (http://palmistrybasics.com/) Palmistry Basics and make up your own mind.
